Im very new at this, and I want to learn how to blend eyeshadow for Hazel eyes.. Im going into highschool and i want the best for my makeup!
HELP!How to blend eyeshadow?
The best way to blend the eyeshadow is to have 2 brushes and 2 to 3 eyeshadows. One brush should be firm enough to apply the eyeshadow and the other should be soft enough to blend the shadow. Start with applying the lighter(est) shade right under your eyebrow and right above the eye lashes. Or apply it all over if you are using only 2 colors. Then, take the medium shade (or the darker shadow) and apply it from outside in (corner of your eyes towards your nose) halfway of your eyelid.. only the middle of your eye lid..where your eyelid creases...Be sure NOT to go above your crease of your eyelid...That will also give you the smokey eye look.. So, use the soft brush from the coner of your eyes towards the nose with the dark (er) shade..To finish up, gently reapply the colors with soft brush to get a clean look..
Hope that helps!
-CosmetologistHow to blend eyeshadow?
get a blending eyeshadow brush, it's like a fluffy watercolor brush but tapered so the top is round. (sorry, b est way i could describe it lol)
watch some tutorials on youtube because they will show you technique and application and you can follow along. you can even search for specific colors you want to try.
well if you're going to high school you're going to be a freshmen and you want to go for a light natural look nothing to harsh or to much what I do so my eye shadow doesn't look caked on just put a small amount on with the brush and blend it with your finger(best god given tool) lol
until you get what you want ;]
hopes this helps
First of all get a good set of brushes. Go to eyeslipsface.com it's the e.l.f. brand of make-up. Their eye brushes are fantastic and only cost a dollar! My favorite one is called the blending brush.
For hazel eyes choose shadows that are eighther light pink/browns/sage or golden nudes/browns.
1. First you may want to get a decreaser for your eyes, or the eyeprimer. ELF has a good one and the more expensive and more popular one is by Urban Decay. You can order it online from SEPHORA (it lasts forever). So blend the primer over the eye first. Then sweap a light color of shadow over your eyelids. (Lets say you're using a neutral/golden/brown colors, so choose the pale gold, or nude).
Then apply an eyeliner (the trick is to make sure there is not space between the lash line and the eyeliner. Make it as tight to the lashline as you can. Then put the eyeliner on the bottem lid, make sure it's not thick or it will look messy. If you have a smudger, smudge the liner so it looks more natural. Again, ELF has a great smudger for a buck.
2. Take a darker shade of brown (lets say something like mocha color, or light brown). Take the blending brush and apply a bit right in the crease. Don't put too much or you'll get a lot of pigment. Now with medium strocks blend the crease - the idea is to create a nice blend with the outter corner of your eyes and the crease.
3. Take the darkest shade of brown (preferrably matte), take a liner brush (it looks very thin and flat) and gently press the shadow over the eyeliner. And again do it gently and try to blend it (imagine as if you are playing with pastels - chalk and you are trying to blend few colors together for a smooth, even texture).
4. Take the lightest shade of gold (shimmer, highlighter, whatever you have). Apply it just under the brow bone and blend it in (so it looks smooth and natural, and not just like a white shimmery line).
Put a tad in the inner corner of the eye and blend :) This will give your eyes a gorgeous pop.
Finish up with a mascara. Good luck!
