Whats a good Brand for Eyeshadow And Mascara?

Something that works i have dark brown eyes and my skin color is like a light brown i don't know what color eyeshadow would look good on me so yea i need help.

%26amp;%26amp; and good mascara or eyelash curlers to make my eyelashes longer and i don't do fake ones lol Thankss so much! (:

*And if possible pictures please*Whats a good Brand for Eyeshadow And Mascara?
For heavier more pigmented shadows you should use MAC, Urban Decay, or NARS. For a lighter look, you should go with Stila, or Bare Escentuals. You would look good with a rich black, and a shimmering nude pink eyeshadow. For mascara I like Dior DiorShow Mascara, Benefit BadGal Lash, and and Too Faced Lash Injection. Use a MAC Full Lash Curler.

I got hazel contacts, what eyeshadow should I use I am wearing grey and black clothes?
Pretty much anything, but whats always good is say a Leona Lewis in the video for Bleeding Love. A glittery eye shadow with smokey eyes. That would be pretty cool with a grey or a dark blue or something. :)I got hazel contacts, what eyeshadow should I use I am wearing grey and black clothes?
    light green would be good

Does Nordstrom rack really have eyeshadow?

i heard they sell smashbox eyeshadow for $2 is this true.Does Nordstrom rack really have eyeshadow?
The one I normally go to didn't have Smashbox eyeshadows, but they had Stila eyeshadows and then some other Smashbox and Too Faced products. You probably won't pay $2 however it will be less than retail.

Whats the best color eyeshadow for light blue eyes and a light skin tone?

blue or brownWhats the best color eyeshadow for light blue eyes and a light skin tone?
Browns, Taupes, and Coppers work wonders to bring out light blue eyes. Take these pics for instance:

    http://jimbuie.blogs.com/photos/uncatego鈥?/a>

the brown shades really make the blue pop due to the contrast.

If however, you were to apply blue eyeshadow instead, your blue eyes would end up competing for attention with the blue shadow and end up getting lost in the makeup - your blue eyes would simply ';blend in'; with the blue makeup and therefore, would not be enhanced. Check out these pics for example:

*As you can tell, Cameron Diaz from before with brown eye shadow, looked much more better than her with the blue eyeshadow.

*So that being said, I suggest you choose earthy warm colors to enhance your eyes. Plus, they are neutral enough that they will flatter your light skintone as well.

*Just apply a dark brown eyeliner to your top lashline to give your eyes definition, a taupe shadow to your crease to contour the eye structure, and a coppery brown shadow to your lid to highlight. Finish off the look with a lengthening mascara,Whats the best color eyeshadow for light blue eyes and a light skin tone?
brown colors will make ur eyes stand out
light brown or blue. If you go to the grocery store or walmart or something there is eyeshadow by almay that has palettes for different color eyes. They have bring out the blues, bring out the greens, etc.
    light brown or pink
Light browns and taupes will bring out the blue in your eyes without being to harsh with fair skin.
If they are light, LIGHT blue, greys, and I think that any neutral color works for anyone.
Try a white, cream or brown color on your eyelids. Or even you could go to Khols and try some for free to find one that looks good on you!
as a fellow light skinned blue eyed girl let me give you some info,

gold and green really make your eye color pop, estee lauder has a gold eye shadow duo that looks great, and i like lancome's greens, use brown eyeliner and mascara, not black, clinique makes a really pretty brown shadow that looks good on my eyes, i'm pretty sure its called copper penny, lilac is pretty too, i know how hard it is to want to wear pretty colorful make up and not want to come out looking like a clown because your so pale!
BROWN is the key. but mix it with blue but please dont overdo the blue cause then you look like a kuku bird or something. Almay has a special eyeshadow set and the back even shows how to apply... its a must have! and that will basically do wonders for you and even has the brown eyeliner that is helpful
something that makes ur eyes pop. definately use mascara and eyeliner. medium and dark blues and greens should work 4 u ! but use a taupe for ur brow bone and blend into the crease so it dosnt look harsh hope i helped!
light browns, light blues, tans, light greens.....NOT pink or purple or black
I agree with mommy and dee. I like the newer eyeshadow compacts by almay, they have 2 for blue eyes, one for more daytime, one for more dramatic. I am pale in the cooler months and the shades look good when I am pale or tan! Best wishes!
Personally I wold layer it starting with a very very light pink coverin your whole eye and then pick out a light purple and a medium blue. put the purple up to the crease of your eye and the blue to the sides like u no the outer corner of your eye and use a black or blue eyeliner. and if your hair is lighter use a brown mascara instead of black.
    Ligth brown or a grey.
    u could try browns...

in shades slightly darker than your skin tone.

even blue would accentuate your eyes very well...

get a eye shadow in a shimmery silver blue...

soft pink with a dark brown or blue eye liner pencil too would look great....

try out different looks for different outfits....

spray a soft pink over your cheeks to get a near natural blush/ glow....

    :)
Check out Almays website. I know they have eye makeup that's specified for eye color. I have brown eyes, so my shades are a nice mix of browns/pinks/purples.

Check it out, it's nice because it's like a ';kit'; and you don't have to fumble around with the wrong colors. =)

I would say purple or silver. Both are really hip and would definitely bring out your eyes.I have strange green-golden eyes that change colour ... what eyeshadow would suit them best?
i think that a color that would work for them no matter which color they are, is brown. a shimmery brown should do. but try out a ton of different colors, and when you find one that you like, try that out in different shades (light brown... dark brown... medium brown... a mixture....)

purple looks good on green eyes i know.

and silvery/gray looks good on all in my opinion.

    try a peachy color :)

    EXPERIMENT!
I think a deep purple! I LOVE dark purple on green brown or gold eyes it brings them our awesomely! hope I helped!

Oh and purple eyeliner is good too!

What color mascara and eyeliner to use with this eyeshadow?

    http://www.maccosmetics.com/templates/pr鈥?/a>

In Beauty SleepWhat color mascara and eyeliner to use with this eyeshadow?
Since beauty sleep is such a light pink color, you are going to want to do a pink that's close to that or just a tad darker. As far as the mascara, I would recommend going for black mascara or clear mascara. If you have a Mac store near you, they will definitely have the perfect color eyeliner for you.

According to US Weekly, all the stars are now wearing colored eye liner. What color mascara and eyeliner to use with this eyeshadow?
    brown one
It is a very lovely pink, so why not play it up? Get a light sparkly purple eyeliner and trace your upper lid. then towards the very corner where your tearduct is- add just a little shimmer of white. apply the pink shadow to your lids and blend with the white in the corner of you eye. Then get a dark purple shadow and put just a little in the farther corner outer part of your eye and put it a little bit on the bottom and the tope. blend- and you have some kick *** eyes! i have tried it and it looks very pretty. As for mascara- Use Lycra Lash EXtender mascara by Rimmel. It is a very light black and it will extend your lashes by 60 percent and it will curl your lashes 50 percent more. apply by wiggling the brush on your lashes so it will stick better, then get an eyelash comb and comb your eyelashes while they are still wet to make them spread apart, curl up, and be clump free! it works for me, and I get complements all the time on my lashes and makeup.
i would go with black if u want an edgier look, but a brown (it will play up ur blue eyes) or a gray eyeliner with black mascara. i think wet n wild eyeliner is great (only a dollar too!) and i like the lash exact in red by covergirl. good luck and dont be afraid to try stuff out to get the look u want =)
Its such a pretty color that you dont want to over-bear it with a dark color like black! I think a lighter brown or maybe even a purple would look good with it
black is the best color for every eyeshadow
i would use a dark brownish color (:
I think either a purple, royal blue, or turquoise eyeliner would look pretty with that shade eyeshadow...dark brown/nearly black mascara would look nice, and if you're on the daring side, try plum or really deep blue mascara. There are lots of possibilites!
Try a brown mascara with a brown, black, dark blue or purple eyeliner. I hope you look beautiful!!!! :)
Umm... well i guess you would use black mascara and brown, black, or a dark color eyeliner...
I think that you should use brown-black mascara and dark purple or navy blue eyeliner. It would look so good.

I need some cute ideas on how to apply eyeshadow, how do u do urs?

my eyes are brown and im tan. if that helps any.I need some cute ideas on how to apply eyeshadow, how do u do urs?
there are tooonnns of way to do eyshadow. The basis is light brow medium lid and darker crease. You can actually my them in kits like that with different color schemes. It also depends on the color of your eyes. Gold and metallics look really good with blue eyes. Purples and browns look good with green. And brown pretty much anything. If you are thinking of gold dont put it everywhere. I would recomend powder for that. Just make sure you don't wear too muc makeup and you will look GorgeousI need some cute ideas on how to apply eyeshadow, how do u do urs?
lighter color on the brow bone and the inner corner of your eye.

    medium color on the lid.

darkest color in the crease of the eye.

    :)
i have dark blue eyes too and i say either a smokey color or gold / shimerylooks best.
it depends on your skin tone but ide say the safest is purple or brown.
I have dark blue eyes as well, and I use a gold coloured eyeshadow from the Body Shop. It brings out the colour of my eyes. And because it's from the Body Shop, it shimmers, and it stays on all day and won't smug.

    Amazing stuff, that Body Shop.
almost any coller workes with blue eyes
You'll look best in lilac, beige, camel or peach shades of eye shadow. Choose one shade only to use at a time and apply it all over eyes, from lash-line to brows.
gold shimmery stuff, but not like tacky showgirl style lol.

I have dark blue eyes too, and honestly almost anything will go with them.

What is the stuff called that you can put on your eyes to make the eyeshadow stay?

can anyone tell me what the name of the stuff you can put on your eyes to help the eye shadow stay is???What is the stuff called that you can put on your eyes to make the eyeshadow stay?
it's called a primer however they are usually expensive for what they are. just rub some liquid foundation over the lids and then dust some powder over them to set it and then apply eyeshadow. What is the stuff called that you can put on your eyes to make the eyeshadow stay?
There are various 'primer' products on the market but I would use a tiny dot of foundation over the entire eyelid and up to the brow to create an even neutral look.

This is a good base for any eyeshadow and is pretty effective. It doesn't suit everyone but have a go with that first and if it's not right for you then go and invest in a specific eye primer.
    i use bare minerals

    put that on

    then eye shadow

    then liner

    then mascara

the base cover sets my shadow and liner
    primer

urban decay primer potion, would be your best bet:)

  • What color eyeshadow should I wear with a black, white, and gray shirt?

:)What color eyeshadow should I wear with a black, white, and gray shirt?
blueWhat color eyeshadow should I wear with a black, white, and gray shirt?
Depending on your eye/hair color, I always wear a pink shade with black and white. It gives your skin some color and pulls your natural beauty out of a drab colored outfit.

I works especially well if your an Autumn (brown or hazel eyes with brown/auburn hair).

    If you're blonde/blue, wear a pear green.
    My suggestion is to wear a bright color that pops against (yet goes well with) your skin tone;

so you don't end up looking dull.

Orange, blue, and purple-ey eyeshadows are quite trendy right now.

    Or;

If you're going for a darker, sexier look,

Do a smoky eye with a blend of different dark colored eyeshadows/eyeliners.

I think the smoky eye look would be great idea to do for a date or a night out with friends.

The bright shadows would be better for daytime, I think.
Silver! It's really in right now. Just be careful not to cover your whole eye with it; just a little will make a strong statement.

Or wear a brighter color so you'll have a pop of color among all those neutrals.
Try smoky makeup with the same colors.

Or if you have brown eyes, go for a blue-grey tone or dark purple-brown %26amp; both with black mascara.

Sorry, I don't know too much about makeup for the other eye-colors.
Matching it to your eyes is a better idea.

Basically, if you have dark eyes, go for lighter shades.

If you have blue/light eyes like me, go for browns and earthy shades.
You can really wear any color eyeshadow, since you're shirt is all neutral colors. I's suggest a bright color, or something that compliments your eye color.
All depends on the weather, hairstyle and accessories you are gong to wear it with. I would say light colours like lavender, peach, silver or light blue.
really it doesn't matter since your wearing basic colors any color would look good.
OMFG, DO NOT MATCH YOUR EYESHADOW TO YOUR CLOTHING!

Match it to the event or occasion.
Black thats obvious lolz. Or u could do a bright neon color or a red. That would look hot by itself or with the black XD
blue. metallic blue. u could match a big blue pearl plastic necklace with it too =]
    Yellow or red... it will really make your shirt ';pop';
    yea

What color eyeshadow should i wear?

i have fair skin, like PLATINUM blonde hair (well, maybe not PLATINUM, but really light), and really dark blue eyes, they also look purple sometimes. i really dont like to wear eyeliner because it makes me look like a slut. any suggestions for colors of eyeshadow? What color eyeshadow should i wear?
brownish golds and pinksWhat color eyeshadow should i wear?
Purple is a great color to highlight blue eyes. Pinks and greys would be pretty too. And deep browns would look great too.

How does eyeliner make you look like a slut?? Try for a color that isn't black and see how that works. Try a thinner line right into your lashes to help make them look fuller, and don't completely line the bottom. You can go a third of the way or not at all.

Try using a darker eyeshadow instead of an eyeliner for something a little softer in look.

The following link is a look that Mary Kay is promoting for blue eyes:

thats a link to an almay product. they have eye shadow sets for all different color eyes. you can get it at any drug store, walmart, and some grocery stores.

    good luck!
i would look for a fun violet shade or a smoky grey to work with your deep blue eyes. something pretty popular this season is colored masacara (kind of risky) but if you have dark lashes a dark navy mascara is a fun playful twist with blue eyes (as long as the tint is very subtle)
Eyeliner does sometimes give fair skinned blondes that porn star look, go with a dark brown or medium brown eyeshadow, and black mascara. Its drama without the eyeliner.
I heart summer gave a good answer, the almay eye shadow is good, you pick the color by your eye color, it works very well.
gold but not too much..just a bit on the lid and a darker shade of gold on the crease and then a light cream shade on the brow bone.
light purple eyeshadow, green..anything really you just have to find the right shade. play around with them at the store until you find one you like
I would definitely say brown or gold. Those would look amazing on you! Your eyes will just pop! :]
    Blue or purple, lol.

What color eyeshadow should i use with brown eyes????

Well it also depends on your skin tone..i have brown eyes too and my skin tone is not that light or dark..so i use gold to make them pop..and also use black eyeliner..that makes them pop even more..you might also want to use a black shirt...my eyes tend to look prettier when i use a dark color shirt and use black eyeliner and a gold eyeshadow...What color eyeshadow should i use with brown eyes????
I have brown eyes too. Try using a strong green or a pale blue and pink. What color eyeshadow should i use with brown eyes????
lighter colors along with your eye color
Tans, bronzes, depends on your skin color too though but you could do smokey looks, dark blueish looks.
    Natural skin earthy tones
a greenish gold......try urban decay eyeshadow in smog
golds look great. browns. reds, emerald greens
Beige on the lids %26amp; brown in the sockets or very pale grey on the lids %26amp; charcoal in the sockets! Both look great on brown eyes!
copper will look nice and will make your eyes stand out.
i have brown eyes and PURPLE really makes them pop. what i do is apply a purple to the lids of my eyes, then a brown on the crease and a very light cream under my brow, i blend it together with the cream so that its not too dark or gaudy looking. this will REALLY make brown eyes pop!
soft green, or soft brown (with pink undertones)
    any grayish color.
I agree with purple, I have brown eyes and ever since I was young, a purple/lavender really makes them pop. Almay makes eyeshadow sets for different color eyes and I believe the brown eyes is mostly purple hues.

What Colors Should I Use In Makeup? Mainly Eyeshadow?

Ive got brownish blonde hair, brown eyes, and medium skin, but more tan in summer. I Really want to know what would look good for my eyes. light or dark? i mean i want it to really make my eyes stand out and look pretty. I am a fan of multiple colors of eyeshadow. ThanksWhat Colors Should I Use In Makeup? Mainly Eyeshadow?
ok, so i think you should try more ';nature'; colours, by that i mean,

    DAY:

EYES: dark greens, deep browns, golds and bronzes, stay away very away from using baby pink/blue/green on your eyes, no one can pull this off, and usually i advise people to stay away from using eye shadow the same colour as there eyes but since you have brown eyes blonde hair, your one of the lucky few who can pull it off : )

    BRONZER: a very light bronzer

    EYELINER: a gold or brown

MASCARA: brown, brown black or clear, i dont think people should use black mascara on a day to day occasion because its too ';night time'; and it makes them look rather odd

LIPSTICK/GLOSS: very light pinks like baby pinks, clears, ect ect

    NIGHT

EYES: once again NEVER black, instead go dark greys and almost black colours for your eyes

FACE/BRONZER: no bronzer, just some foundation and pressed powder!

    EYELINER: black or greys

MASCARA: Black, its only good to use black mascara at night

LIPSTICK/GLOSS: very light pinks like baby pinks, clears, ect ect

i dont know what you look like, so im sorry i cant help you with that, but if you just go to my FAVE website www.covergirl.com (cut and paste the link) and then register for free, then select connect with CG, then choose the CG make up mirror, you can upload your photo and try out all there makeup and try different styles to see which one suits you the most!

    hope this helped!

: )What Colors Should I Use In Makeup? Mainly Eyeshadow?
hey, id deff go with pretty light flowey colors. i think ur on the right track when u say multible colers. i think ud look good in light greens, blues, or purples. i have a friend who has the same type of hair and eyes, so id deff say try this out with multible shades! good luck!
I used to sell Mary Kay %26amp; would suggest to women that they try light shades on the lid - taupe, light beige - then a darker neutral shade in the crease - darker browns, grays, then the light again on the arch under the brow. This seems to accent the eye color %26amp; make eyes look bigger, without drawing the attention from the eyes, which a lot of dark or bold colors seem to do. Also, use a matching (gray or brown) eyeliner AFTER applying the shadow - complete line under eye, half length upper lid, from pupil to outer corners; top off with dark brown or brown-black - not TOO dark - mascara.

What color eyeshadow is best to wear with a grey shirt.?

im wearing a grey shirt that i love with blue jeans and i have blue eyes what is the best color eyeshadow for that? What color eyeshadow is best to wear with a grey shirt.?
Black. And lots of it.What color eyeshadow is best to wear with a grey shirt.?
    I would go with gray.
Silver would probably be your best bet!
    a light pink
I am a makeover artist and you do not not know how great light purple would look with grey! Light purple is pretty but not bright and attention drawing. Youd ont want really bright because silver is a mellow color. I hope this helps.

    Good Luck
you could go with a silver or pewter colored eyeshadow or even a gray-ish-blue color
Hmm, gray, white, silver or black most likely.

But it also depends on what kind of shirt it is,

well it does for me anyway.
A big fashion faux pas is MATCHING YOUR MAKEUP TO YOUR CLOTHING. Big NO NO!. lol Wear a colour that suits you. Since you have blue eyes, neutral or cool colours work...
a light shade of pretty much any color would look the best.

you dont want to make it stand out too much but you also want to add some more color.
Light earth tones like peach and pink...
Makeup 101: Don't match your eyeshadow to your outfits. Seriously.... Just don't. You match your eyeshadow to your eye and face coloring.
A soft, ashy amber-brown. It will bring out your blue eyes and blend well with your skin.
Wear red eyeshadow in a graphic shape. That's if you want to be bold and unique.
    silver, light blue, charcoal

    What color eyeshadow to wear?

I have medium brown hair and light blue eyes and im not sure what color eyeshadow to wear. I always thought blue was a good color, but my sister told me to wear pink or purple, but Im not sure how good that will look good. I have also heard you should wear a color that matches what ur wearing, how true is that? Im not a big make-up wearer, I probably wear about 1x every 2 months, so im a little uneducated, any suggestions? What color eyeshadow to wear?
well you found a make-up expert...if your having trouble looking for some eye shadow than i agree you should match your make-up with what you wear because if your wearing something green and yellow than you should wear some green eye shadow with a little yellow in it!!!What color eyeshadow to wear?
Eeeeyah...matching your clothes and your eye shadow is not something that you should do. I have the same features as you. I stick to browns. Those are the best you really bring out the blue in your eyes. And brown mascara and brown eyeliner. You can get away with black eye liner but, just try to to wear too much.
It doesn't have to be like, the same colour as your clothes

But I usually try and make mine go with my shirt, so if I'm wearing blue, I'll wear a different shade of blue

But if I'm wearing something I dislike as eyeshadow, like red, I'll go for white or silver or something

I think gold would suit you, try Barry M's Dazzle Dust in Yellow Gold, number 29 :D
You should get and eye shadow with three different shades and a white for the inside corner of your eye. The white makes your eyes pop more.

Also, I would add a little brown Maybelline great lash mascara and brown eyeliner to the bottom of your lower lid.

A great every day look would be to use a pink shade base but if you are going out to the movies, a blue/purple mix would probably accentuate your eye color.

    Hope this helps!
when you have blue eyes you wear brown eye shadow. and never wear the same eye shadow color as your outfit. it will clash together and look funny.
actually wearing matching clothes and eyeshadow is a big N-O

as to your problem......its really about your skin tone but gold and white eyeshadow goes with everyones skin

apply it from your crease to your eyes and then with the applicator put some on the inner corners of your eyes as this will make them look wider

    good luck!

  • What color eyeshadow?

I am planning on wearing a teal shirt tomorrow with a gold necklace and brown shoes w/gold accents. I cant decide what color eye shadow to wear? Help?

Please and thank you! What color eyeshadow?
Try wearing copper eyeshadow on your lid, a deeper bronze in the crease and soft gold as a highlight for a sexy, metallic summer look! What color eyeshadow?
I like always wear a sparkly gold eye primer with a light sparkly beige shadow on my lid...darkish brown in my crease (but i out it on SUPER light so u hardly c it) and a light alost white on m brow bone. Then rub it in good so it looks like and use a big brush and go over everythig in a sparkle color (i use Boy Toy from Too Faced or Scratch for Urban Decay) or anything thats light pink (REALLY light) and sparkly.
If you plan to wear a teal shirt, gold jewelry, and brown shoes I would suggest you wear a light shade of brown so people really notice the color of your shoes. but right in the crease of your eye you should put a little gold.
    Brown/Gold/ Yellow Gold

    brown:gold eye shadow

blue:almost like a light gray with some deep purple

green:light turquoise or even light soft pink

    brown

but it depends on yewr eye color too

if yew have dark eyes then play it up and wear a light color

    like maybe an aqua

but if yewr eyes are really bright then maybe try a darker shade

What color eyeshadow goes good with brown/hazel eyes and tan skin?

also, what other makeup would be good to use (color too)What color eyeshadow goes good with brown/hazel eyes and tan skin?
we must be twins . lol jk

i usually use dark brown on my lids

and then either light brown or

a little bit lighter then my skin color.

    and if you wear eyeliner

    it makes your eyes POP.

hope it helpedWhat color eyeshadow goes good with brown/hazel eyes and tan skin?
i also have the same dark brown hair, brown eyes, and tan skin, and I use a wonderful eyeshadow palate made by Physicians Formula. It has over nine colors in various shades specifically designed to bring out the colors of brown eyes. they range from a champagne base color to a plum accent color and as well as two different liners. they go on smoothly and last all day. I highly recommend this product! you can find it at Wal-Mart, Target, or any drugstore.
I have the same eye color. I would try a light shimmery brown color. I don't wear a lot of eye shadow but I use black mascara, and eye liner. Also try a pretty green color that might bring out some green in your eyes.
I would say an olive green, a brown in any shade or a copper you should wear it with bronzer on your cheekbones and temples

    ;)
I usually use Brown/Gold/Coppery hues, greens on occasion.
    light brown and sparkley

    go to saphora
    maybe some dark brown

At the same time, it depends on what you're wearing and how your hair is styled.

But for the time being, I'd probably say - go for a smoky look until you find out what colour's good on you.
green's the best for brown eyes....other colors also work, just not brown eyeshadow
    blue or purple
shades of gold and green usually bring out brown eyes very well.
    brown
I have a friend like that and I like light colours, like purple, blue, and green.
i would say a dark/emerald green or blue
    Light browns
opinion. you probably look great without. some of us appreciate the natural look...
umm, id say goldy eyeshadwo/eyeliner, or bronze...or, seeing as you have fair skin, silver would work too :) hope htis helped! green could look good too!
Pick according to what you are wearing
pink eyeshadow would look good on u. try it out
    try using natural colors.

i like the shimmery natural colors the best because bold colors most of the time dont work for many people...
    Purpleish orange
It is hard to tell without a seeing a pc of you so i can tell. But natural colours would be your best option as they go with all skin types and everything
    green
I use Almay's Bring Out the Brown or Play Up the Brown (2 different eyeshadows). I also use Maybeline's Jade eyeliner. The jade and the purple(eyeshadow) look good together.
light colors! they make your eyes pop!

brown never looks good with brown eyes, idk maybe that's just me..
well id go with browns, greens...the earth tones

The color white also look good.
I'd try purple shades and green
    light tan
I worked for MAC a while back and now Mary Kay and from what you say about yourself, I would use greens and golds. Gold is really in right now. I know you're fair, but there was a picture of Beyonce floating around were she did something amazing with gold on her eyes, you should try and find it and get some ideas.
Personally I've always loved rose/pink shades on brown eyes. Here's a link that might help.
    Use a fawn color.
Olive colors...like greens and light browns.
it sounds as though a color in the warm category i have always heard if u hold a gold colored scarf by your face and if it looks good your complexion is in the warm category, if a silver one looks good-cool, but if both your complexion is neutral. i hope this has helped some.
Green and tan would be best.

my complexion is kinda like that. my eyes are a bit deeper blue though, and my hair is more brown then thaat. any suggestions? What color eyeshadow to go with my complexion?
A really dark brown should balance well with your hair color and bring out the blue in your eyes.

Dark purple would also be a good option, though not really for an every-day sort of look.

Bronze is supposed to be good for blue eyes, but I have blue eyes and don't really think it is, so...that one's up to you. What color eyeshadow to go with my complexion?
What would look beautiful with your blue eyes would be a violet eye shadow. Kinda a blue-tinted violet.
    a goldish-brown color.

or a green color with a hint of blue
    lightish pink for base

    and pink for top
i suggest a deep purple or brown or maybe a gold it u have sorta tan skin.
    green or brown

Ladies: What are some of your favorite eyeshadow looks?

What are some of your favorite colors and blends?

Include instructions and tips pls :-)Ladies: What are some of your favorite eyeshadow looks?
Oh gosh, it depends on my mood that day. I am so erratic when it comes to makeup.

I think one of my favorites is what I'm wearing today: a green smokey eye (I have brown eyes). I use a pale green shimmer all over the lid, then put a dark metallic hunter green in the crease. I then apply a bit of the dark green along my lower lash line and put a mid-toned metallic green over top of that. Top off with dark brown liner and mascara. The key to this look is blending!

I also love using the Lucky Tom palette from Mac to create a sunset type look. I am working on a more intense one but that palette creates a beautiful soft daytime look. Use the gold on the inner 1/3 of the eye, the coral pink on the middle 1/3 and the blue/purple on the outer crease. Make sure they are even, blend, and put some of the blue purple along the lower lash line. Finish off with a bit of the dark brown (Lucky Tom) smudged on your upper lash line and you're done!

    Lucky Tom palette: http://1fashionaddict.files.wordpress.co鈥?/a>

The greens I used (the pic is bad): http://cgi.ebay.com/Wet-N-Wild-MEGA-EYES鈥?/a>Ladies: What are some of your favorite eyeshadow looks?
my makeup is across the board. today I'm pretty toned-down for me. I have a light peachy color, then darker brown on the outside of my lids.

but last night I had a bright green with bright cobalt blue in my crease and tons of mascara.

the key to getting good eye shadow is to apply a base first. I use First Base by Too Faced.
I think just a little bit of eye shadow along the bottom of your eyes aswell as along the top is really striking - I like green shades because my eyes are green, but generally I just apply a shade that suits whatever colours I'm wearing.
I always go for black eyeshadow and black eyeliner and go very smokey with a nude lipstick, it's always the best look for anyone!
    Hi babe,

My hair is also very dary, as well as my eyes. I usually stick to natural and earthy tones. You should try to pick a eye shadow combo that has at least 3 or 4 colors.

If you get your cosmetics from department stores, MAC carries a lot of colors to choose from.

I would go to a makeup counter/store (like sephora) and ask them to help. But usually, to stay natural looking, I would stay in the browns. That's what I wear. I use a lot of Clinique, with black eyeliner (very thin, or for a thicker line, dark brown is better). I wouldn't make it too dark, just a few shades darker than your skin, and a highlighter near your eyebrow,

But those ladies (and sometimes men) are very helpful at making your particular eye makeup looking nice. They're good at telling you the technique, and they're pretty good at picking out colors too. You may just want to go out into the light before buying just to make sure it looks good in any light.

But the one tip that toally comes from me is to use Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion--it works wonders; just a little and pat in, then apply eyeshadow!!!

I think even the people at the drugstore counter have to know a little about the products too, if you don't want to spend much at Sephora.

    Hope this helps!!!

Can eyeshadow be use for as a eyeliner?

I have this really dark brown eyeshadow, and I was wondering if I can use it as a eyelinerCan eyeshadow be use for as a eyeliner?
Yes you can and it looks amazing. Like everyone else said you need the right brush. You can get a great brush for a good price at Target. I use it all of the time. You don't have to wet the eyeshadow either, but blow on the brush a little before applying so it doesn't get in your eyes. If you use a makeup primer before you put it on it will not come off.Can eyeshadow be use for as a eyeliner?
get you a really thin brush and yea, i do it except i have black, i think it like eyeshadow bettter that eyeliner, because eyeliner make such a hard line. it just feels like it's closing my eye instead of opening it.
I think u can but u just hav to use the right color.
yes i do it all the time. it doesn't look as harsh as some eyeliners
surly you can use it as eye liner and it works better than that. you can use the side of your brush and color it with your eyeshadow and draw a line beside your eyelid.
if you have the right brush. (eyeliner brush)

and just get it alittle wet to the shadow can show up
definitely! use it dry for a softer color and try it wet for more intense color.
yes, just put some Transformer liquid into it

ask a makeup consultant at the mall and she'll tell you where to find it

    it turns eyeshadow into eyeliner
yes you can.. i use to use a green all the time.. but if you do this.. dont put it where you would but eyeliner.. you put it on the lash line..
    no.
I had a pure black eyeshadow, and I used it for eyeliner. DIDN'T WORK AT ALL!

first, they are not designed to use as a eyeliner.

second, they come off pretty often.

third, apply the dark brown eyeshadow on your eyelids, then use a eyeliner on top of it~
No, an eyeshadow is a pressed powder, and will dissolve onto the eye when applied to the inner eye. An eyeliner is either a liquid, or pencil applied compound that lines the thin area behind the lower eyelashes, or the area above the upper eyelashes.
    Sort of...

I use my brown eyeshadow and sweep it close to the eyelid. Then I use a creamy beige and silvery white above to give the illusion of eyeliner (I'm not allowed to use eyeliner yet, so I do this often)

Also, if you don't want to use mascara, did you know curling your eyelashes gives you the illison of mascara without the worry of clumps? (You probably do, but I'm just putting it out there)

    Good luck:)
Absolutely! Some shadows will mix well with water, and if you get a thin brush you can paint it on just like a regular wet eyeliner. Or use it dry if you want a softer look.
yea you can just be careful and try not poke yourself in the eye and try not to get it in your eye cuz it might hurt

Liquid eyeshadow left in the tube?

I have a liquid eyeshadow that is in a small tube, it's more like a paste so I can only get what I can reach with the brush. There is a lot left on the top and at the very bottom where the brush can't reach, is there anyway I could get that portion out, I hate to waste it just because the brush doesn't reach. Any thoughts?Liquid eyeshadow left in the tube?
get a longer brush from the store, kohls has mascara brushes in the makeup booths that havent been used and they're free, you could also buy cheap clear mascara and use the brush from that, or cut the tube open.Liquid eyeshadow left in the tube?
Cut the tube but remember that once the air hits that then that will be no good.

warm it up a little. put it in a cup of boiling water just to loosen it all up

there is a little ruber thing at the top. u need to get it out by ur teeth.

GOODLUCKWhat eyeshadow goes good with blue eyes?
    1. Tried and True: taupe, gray, violet, purple, deep blue (a darker shade than your eye color makes your eyes really blue), black (mix it with bright blue for a smoky effect)

    2. Funky Favorites: silver, turquoise, fuschia (brightens any shade of blue)
I would have to say greens, blues, and silvers or any shimmery versions of the three look really good and bring out the blue in eyes. Nothing to crazy and bright though because something lime green could really make your skin look even paler and...yeah not so good.

    Best of luck!
browns make blue eyes stand out more, but brown can get so boring! I like to use shimmery colors. Usually I wear purples, cause it goes w/ all eye colors and is more fun. But for tips all you need to do is look thru a beauty mag and try to experiment on yourself.

    or

Peachy tones to make everything else blend in.
Peach colors would suit you %26amp; your complexion.

Also, coral blues %26amp; greens would go well.

To emphasize your eye color even more, silvers would suit you and bring out the sparkle in your eyes.
metallic brown, peachy orange, pale yellow, aquamarine..these eye shadow colors are what i've seen from celebs with blue eyes..the 'smoky eyes' effect will also look good :)
if you put purple on your lower lid and above you lid and green in the middle it will really bring out your eyes
peach, gold, the same color blue as your eyes not bright bright blue or navy like some people think. But definetly gold tan/gold shades.
I'm blonde and blue eyes and fair skin, I use a light pink. It looks really good. I tried a peach before it looked bad!
either golds or beiges; something shimmery that matches skin color with a little mascara :)
browns to tans. sparkely ones if possible. or navy blue and gray. i use silver on mah baby blues
Purple. It'll look really good with the blond hair and the blue eyes. Hope this helps a whole lot!
i would use a light green or a darker goldish brown. more

neutral colors look better then anything I've tried!!!
    Brown,peach,maybe a gold
    pinks, lavenders pale purples

    greens, silvery shades.
Blue? Purple? (i've seen that before). Pink?
    smokey =]
go with neutrals (browns). it'll bring out any tints in your eyes!!

Any suggestions?Where can I buy good black eyeshadow?
Mary Kay has a great black eyeshadow.Where can I buy good black eyeshadow?
MAC! They have a great selection of black eyeshadows. Pure black, shimmery black, lighter black, blue black. You name it, they've got it. Their eyeshadows have great color (they're vibrant, not muted like drugstore brands), are long-lasting, and have varying shades of black.

They've also got black MAC paint, which I would die without. The paint helps keep your make up on all day, and it can also deepen the color, (or lighten it, depending on which shade of paint you buy.) And while I don't always like the way the MAC ladies do their makeup, they are very knowledgeable, and will be able to help you find what you're looking for.

    Good Luck
I'm in canada , and I dunno of brand names globally but i bought this black eyeshadow from MAC and it has red flecks in it , but the red never shows up , but the black bends amaingly well and i can wear it plain or blended , looks great for smokey eye , check it out
Go to a M.A.C counter and talk to one of the makeup artists. I'm sure they could help you with a look like Fay Brittany's. And they have killer black eyeshadow. :)
You can get black anywhere they sell makeup and in about every brand to.
what crawled up in to ';bitterswe...'; as$?

well anyways that looks more like cream shadow more than powder. so for that i suggest smashbox retailers in deprtment stores or go to a drug store. cvs, walgreens, and buy black shadow (powder) from loreal and add a little bit of water and it'll stay on longer and it'll give it that creamy look
u dont deserve to buy the black eyeshadow i say so
buy the cheap stuff from the dollar store ; buy the cheapest stuff from walmart and worko ur way up to the most expensive ;try avon and find the best such a question is very subjective and peoples opinions are going to vary as will the product will on different peoples skins
Well, theoretically, black is black and brand doesn't matter. HOWEVER, it seems to me MAC does a great job of making bold colors that last, even if you are dancing and sweating. The makeup is a lil too dramatic for day wear, but for night club lighting or theatre, its perfect. It's not cheap, but its worth the money. You will use less over time and have fewer issues with regard to running/fading/ error..

like what type of brush do i use and step by step how i can achieve the look whenever i try it it turns out horribleHow do i do a crease eyeshadow look?
The video the first girl recommended is a good one. I never use the little foam applicators that come with the eyeshadow, get an eyeshadow brush. Just a little rounded brush, it won't make the eyeshadow look so concentrated, which might be your problem. Here's an example: http://www.sephora.com/browse/product.jh鈥?/a> And you can get the brushes anywhere, just look for one like that. Another thing, maybe you're using too dark of a shade in the crease? Sometimes I do a darker shade on the lid and then blend into the crease and then a little shimmer shade up to the brow. Maybelline has eyeshadow that has three shades-the lid, crease, and brow bone.

Should i wear a light colored eyeshadow or a noticable one?

Depends on your coloring, if it's for everyday or a special event, and personal taste.

One thing I did notice about your avatar, however, is that you wear glasses. In your case, it would probably be in your best interest to use a light colored shadow because dark shadows, while they may emphasize your eyes, can make them appear smaller when behind a pair of glasses.

My advice would be to get a 3 or 4 color palette so you can mix and match a few colors at once, or just use the lightest color or most dramatic color.

A good inexpensive choice is CoverGirl eyeshadow quads.Should i wear a light colored eyeshadow or a noticable one?
It completly depends on your skin tone...dark skin go noticiable, pale skin keep it lighter so you don't look freakyShould i wear a light colored eyeshadow or a noticable one?
Natural is way better- besides- most guys think heavy makeup is weird. U just want a little bit to enhance your natural features. Try using maybeline- its cheap- but it doesnt look like it. If you have sensitive skin, try using physicians formula products. If you have oily skin, there are some good products at Kohls. Experiment with shades of at home. But dont use gliiter- especially if you have sensitive eyes. Take it from me- its annoying. Experiment until you find your perfect shade- good luck!

Light eyeshadow for during the day and school, and dark eye shadow for night and dates!!
light and natural is always best
Totally depends on the look you're going for. Also, ANY eye shadow is noticeable if you apply it heavily (or incorrectly).

Browns and coppers are pretty un-noticeable on any skin tone, and they can be applied more heavily for night. If you look like your avatar, pink or lavender might be a good, young choice for day. If you don't want it to be noticeable, choose something that's only a few shades darker than your eyelid (if you're pale, your eyelid is probably a brownish purple color when it's over your eye...check it out in a mirror).

If you want drama, put a light highlighter right on your brow bone, a medium tone across your whole lid, and a darker shadow in the crease/outer corner of your eye. It's a classic look.

Check out websites of various cosmetic companies, like urbandecay.com or maccosmetics.com. They have tutorials on how to get the looks that their latest models are wearing.
Switch it up...you don't have to look the same all the time, go for the natural look somedays and if you go out clubbing or you just want to add spice to your look, add a dramatic, bright colour to make your eyes pop!
light! natural is best! unless night, then go for noticeable!
light is best... unless u want a more dramatic look u have to pick the right color depending on ur eyecolor
it all depends on your skin tone... what you're wearing, and also what other type of make up you're wearing..
you should wear a light colored eye shadow because bright colors usually look kinda weird on people
It depends on your skin color, the event, what you want people to think or say and most importantly ur personality.
it depends on skin colour if your dark use a light one if not use a noticable one

How do u make really pretty eyeshadow for a dance show?

people tell me like for example put dark in the crease but what does that mean? could someone please tell me a good idea for eye make up and tell me where ur supposed to put it on ur eye.How do u make really pretty eyeshadow for a dance show?
okay... this is the way you put on eyeshadow to acheive the glamor look.

for BEST results get eyeshadow paint (a cream to put on your eyes before you put on anything, it makes the color stand out and stay on sold at MAC), a eyeshadow bush (to apply eyeshadow), and a blending brush (to make the colors mesh together)

so lets say for example your dress is black with purple parts on it. first put on the paint before anything. then on the lid of your eye put purple eyeshadow with the eyeshadow brush. then under your brow put white eyeshadow, its okay if the purple and white touch. then in the middle (the crease)put black eyeshadow in the shape of pac man. like on your right eye the black part should look like this %26lt; and on your right eye it should look like this %26gt; the ends of the black part should shape your eye. then use your bledning brush and sweep over your entire eye to mix the colors. then put on your black eyeliner, and mascara. the art of putting on eyeshadow is all about learnig which colors go together and blending. if you dont blend you'll look like dracula eyes. hope this helps! let me know !How do u make really pretty eyeshadow for a dance show?

    :D
start with mascara then a shimmery eyeshadow in a bronze color then make a small line of liquid eyeliner really close to your lashes so that your will look bigger and finally dab a small amount of a silvery eyeshadow
i think that you should do something dark. you need to put the dark eyeshadow in your crease ( your crease is like the middle of your eyelid sorta) and then you probably want to put some shimmer or sparkles like a little under yopu eyebrow. wear mascara and eyeliner if you want to go with something really dark but when you are using the eyeliner make sure that you do it lite if you want to wear it but you dont want ti to be too dark. i hope this helped what you were looking for!!!

get baby lotion and mix it with glitter from poundland then rub it into ur eyes all over n round it ull look sexual dawg
This is going to be long but I love doing makeup and it works really well. Start with a neutral light color like a really light tan or cream color. Add a little bit of water to your eye shadow brush and swirl it in the eye shadow first--it gives the eye shadow a little bit of a shimmery effect. Then, get an angled brush and a darker eye shadow color and start from the outside corner of your eye and sweep it inwards just a little bit and upwards in the crease..the crease is where the top of your eye lid meets the skin under your eye brows. Only bring the darker eye shadow to around the middle part of your eye lid and crease. Finish with wetting a very small brush and swirling it in a VERY light white or cream color (lighter than the first color you used) and apply it to the inner corner of your eyes on both the top and bottom of your eye. I always recommend mascara on anyone and for a dance show, I would recommend eye liner to make your eyes stand out more, but that's your own choice. Good luck!
I have a fondness for light green eye shadow (on a woman, of course).

Use M.A.C paint in the color of your skin under your shadow, it makes the color pop and keeps it from fading. Another option is putting concealer on your lids under your shadow, same concept and really works.
I use Urban Decay Primer Potion generally. But sometimes I use colored bases to make the colors more vibrant. NYX Jumbo Pencils, MAC Paint Pots, or Revlon Creme Color Bases are good colored bases.

Primer is used before you apply your eyeshadow. Primer helps with eye Shadow not creasing as well as staying power and with bringing out the pigments more in the eyeshadow.
Apply the foundation and powder before anything else..

Then apply your eyeshadow primer... You can either use your fingers(My fave tools is always my fingers) or a brush like the ones that i have in the link, they are great for putting on liquid or cream based product...Anywayz, apply it onto your whole eye, all the way to your brow bone... Then just apply your eyeshadow...! That will make sure it lasts forever...!

Put on your foundation and powder. Then put on your eyeliner, mascara, eyeshadow primer, eyeshadow.

Ive heard that rich purplely colours would look good..?

Brown eyeshadow brings out the green in hazel eyes, which I love.

Purples are lovely for evenings, as it looks very bold and smouldering.

Golds and tans are great for everyday wear as they look subtle but also frame the eye really well and draw attention to it.

You could also put a thin layer of green shadow just above your top eyelashes and blend it into brown or gold - this looks great (:

    Hope this helped!

Go to the Almay Collection and go for ur eyes and see the colors tht they choose and if u like the colors they choose then get em. But if not look at the colors and get simialr colors and stuff fmr a dif brand or soemthing
You should start off with a light brown base then add a darker brown from the middle going right then under your brow add a mixture of the two colors together it will make your eyes look hot and don't forget to put black eye liner on and loads of mascara.
go for the smouldering dark look, like the grey/black effect look, i love that look on dark eyed people. dark purples, electric blues also look great, really depends on the outfit you are wearing.

  • What are the effects of eyeshadow? Are there any long term effects?

I don't think that there are any serious long term effects. But always make sure that the makeup you use is new. I once used old eye liner and I developed a stye over both my eyes. It's gross. Over time, using and reusing makeup and makeup utensils (i.e. brushes, etc) generates bacteria. I heard that most makeup has a shelf life of a few months to a year (some will even say it on the packaging if you look carefully. It looks like this ';5M';, meaning 5 months). So if you've had make up for longer, especially things that go on your eye like mascara, eye liner, and eye shadow, I suggest throwing it out. And always remember to wash your face at night before going to bed. What are the effects of eyeshadow? Are there any long term effects?

Which is better cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow? Why?

I am looking for a new back to school look. I never tried cream eyeshadow before. I don't even like powder eyeshadow. It comes off all messy on my eyes and flaky like( for the lack of a better term). I use make-up like maybelline and covergirl to experiment and I do a terrible job at make-up.

So anyway which is better and why?Which is better cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow? Why?
Powder is better than cream but what you could try is applying a primer before using the powder eye-shadow. Cream eye-shadow can sometimes look oily which is something you don't want.Which is better cream eyeshadow or powder eyeshadow? Why?
to tell you hun, it depends on the quality of the powder eyeshadow and if youre wearing an eyeshadow primer to make your eyeshadow stay long for the whole day.

i would DEFINETLY recommend Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion. everybody loves this eyeshadow primer. an alternative would be MAC Paint Pots or Too Faced Eyeshadow Insurance.

with an eyeshadow primer, not only does your eye makeup's staying power stay the whole day -- it also makes your eyeshadow blendable and the colour pigment of the eyeshadow is more brought out (vibrant)

    youre gonna hate my answer;

in my opinion, i prefer powder eyeshadow over cream eyeshadow. because powder eyeshadow is so blendable.

i would also recommend using an eyeshading brush. MAC sells the best makeup brushes. the brushes are a really good investment.

and your problem also has a thing to do with the way you apply your makeup (makeup techniques, etc.). with practice and experience, you will learn to do your makeup so it looks good.

YouTube tutorials are a good way to start. :)
I like both, but powder is easier to work with if you know how to apply it. First of all, you should use a brush not the sponge applicators that come with shadows. After you put some shadow on the brush, tap the brush to remove the loose shadow. It would help to use an eyeshadow primer underneath, because it helps it stick and it will stay in place all day. If you use a cream shadow as a base, it will work like a primer. Once you learn how to apply it, if possible, buy better shadows like MAC. They last longer because the colors are richer, they have more pigment so a little bit goes a long way.
Use cream eyeshadow as a base for powder eyeshadow. A very small amount blended in well in the same color as the powder eyeshadow you are wearing will help make the color more vibrant and the staying power longer.

Before you use any eyeshadow use an eye primer such as urban decay primer potion or two faced shadow insurance.

I have used eyeshadow for years and have never found a cream eyeshadow I like wearing unless it is for a base.
okay i was watching a show where they make people over so they look younger and the make up artist was saying about powder make up and that they are good thought the powder may sprinkle on ur face then mess up ur foundation unless u dust a light powder on ur face so if comes of with out removing ur foundation, also that cream is more textured and gives a sheen or glow though if u dont have cream eyeshadow lip stick works too..... but i use powered cause its cheaper but i tried the lip stick it works but make sure it inst long ware or its hard to take off but cream is really easy to use and if u apply just a thin layer if is so light so don't over do creams but creams are more money but they are easily removed but they ware off and they kinda when u blink go up in ur creases of ur eyelid
If you know how to properly use powder, I would say it is beter becuase you can layer it and create depth with just one color/it stays on your eyes longer when applied corectly.

Cream eye shadow I think of more al little girls toy %26amp;dosnt realy work that great if your trying to look good/adult like %26amp;you cant realy get much more than the color in the tube.
since powder eyeshadow seems messy to you, try pressed powders. they're easier to mange that way.

if the eyeshadow is flakey, use urban decay eyeshadow primer. this will prevent the eyeshadow from being flakey and will stay on longer.

if you have done these things and still dislike it, try cream eyeshadow.

cream eyeshadow has a nice texture and is not flakey and will stay on your skin. but it will not look good if you apply it after the eyeliner.

it can be hard to apply if you're not used to cream eyeshadow. it's pretty hard when all they give you is a blunt edge to apply it on. so really, pressed eyeshadow is your best bet.
powder definitly lacks the same color effect. but sometimes if you are using pretty cheap creme eyeshadow it can bunch at the creases of your eyelids. how about trying a creme with powder over.? you'll get the same color depth withouth the creasing.
I like cream better. Powder looks more... well, powdery.

Cream goes on nice and smooth, and usually has more of a shimmer to it. It is also easier to work with, and isn't as messy. Powder is too pigmented, and application is harder for me.
    I prefer powder.

If you add a primer, or a concealer base to it it'll

be more vivid and it won't crease or go away, nor would it look

    all powdery or flaky.

Cream eyeshadow is oily, if it spreads it could cause acne.
If you want the eyeshadow to last you put a small amount of water on your brush, and then put it on your eyelids. The cream works for a short time, but it normally all ends up in the creases.
i like cream more. i don't wear eyeshadow often but i do love bobbi brown cream eyeshadows! they stay on forever..i think the powder ones are harder to apply, well at least for me. hope this helped!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8VOSiC_VK鈥?/a>How do I wear black eyeshadow?
Well, I think black shadow is always classic, with Smokey eyes. Try placing a small amount over your eye lid with a brush applicator. Sweep the brush lightly over eye lid and work your way up into the crease of your eye. Then for the top use a lighter color and sweep directly under the eye brow. Now if you feel the black is too heavy then high light it with a lighter color over the black shadow. You can also use black for just the crease of your eyes with a lighter color over the eye lid and under the brow. How do I wear black eyeshadow?
you can wear a black eye shadow to get a smoky eye look...Put on a thick line of black eyeliner...Next I use my finger to rub a shimmery grey eye shadow across my upper eye lids and just past the crease of my eyes. I also use my finger to smudge the eye liner as I apply the eye shadow to soften and blend the eyeliner a little into the eyeshadow.Next I use a smudge brush to apply and to smudge a shimmery black eye shadow into the crease of my eye and to the upper and lower lash lines. I do this because it will soften the eye liner even more and this is what creates the smoky eye effect. It鈥檚 a good idea to go lightly with applying the black eye shadow and then build up the intensity until you鈥檙e happy with how much you have on. I personally don鈥檛 like to make the shadow too dark, but again it鈥檚 all up to personal preference. Then I highlight my brow bone with a very light dusting of shimmery white eye shadow.Last but not least, I apply black mascara to my upper and lower lashes and I鈥檓 done!

QUICK TIP: Finish this look with a nude or clear gloss on your lips. The main attraction should be your eyes.

and you also wear a black eye shadow as an eye liner...

apply it using the tip of a damp sponge.
Some people just place it on their eyelid, especially shiny black but I don't really like that look.

I usually do a smoky cat eye (http://64.13.133.31/pics/up-52IJUR8A299B鈥?/a> or (http://www.morphthing.com/showimage/2/0/鈥?/a> because I have almond eyes. To do this, first apply liquid or pencil eyeliner (I prefer liquid) in a thin line all around the eye and extend it slightly past the top outer corner. Then just take a small angled brush (http://shop.sukipure.com/images/Zsuki_an鈥?/a> with the eyeshadow on it and run it along your whole top lash line and outer 1/2 corner of the bottom lash line. Blend it out a little bit as you go towards the outside of the eye. If you want a more defined line, you can wet the brush a little bit before putting it into the eyeshadow.

Another thing you can do is just a plain non-cat smoky eye (http://gracemagazine.files.wordpress.com鈥?/a> To do this look like Kiera Nightly, first apply a very light silvery gray all over the eyelid. Then using an eyeshading brush (http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productD鈥?/a> apply the black eyeshadow on the outer half of each eyelid and also extend it on the top across the crease. Make sure you blend it really well, I only use that one brush but a lot of people use several brushes. Take the angle brush and apply it without wetting the brush on the bottom eyelid in a thin line. Use a light creamy color instead of a stark white to highlight the brow bone and inside corners of the eyes.
make a smoky eye, just be careful, and take a piece of toilet paper or a napkin and put it under your bottom lashes, because otherwise the loose flakes will fall under your eye and you will either look like you have a black eye or like you havnt slept in weeks
you can put the eyeshadow close to the rim of you eyelid by your eyelashes and use a q-tip or your finger to smeer it a bit over your eyelid. also blend it or you could mix it a bit with a silver color.
put some foundation on ur eyes first to make it stick better

then apply it w/ the brush that comes w/ it to ur eyelid

then use a brush to apply up to ur brow bone and blend!

use a little liquid eyeliner and mascara

    Do a smokey eye.

Uhm wet the aplicator so it goes on thicker? It works for me.
Put a base on your eye before puting on your eyeshadow....For a base you can use an all-over pencil or a light colored eyeliner. It make the color of your eyeshadow more vibrant.
i get stuck in this fusion alot all i do is think of the color i want then i mixs the colors i think whould make that color than i test it on my arm to see if it is the color i want.

Browns and blues look really good with blue eyes. Try a navy liner such as MAC auto-de-blue and honey lust shadow from MAC.What color eyeshadow should you use if u have grey/blue eyeshadow?
Well i have green eyes, i think what looks best is, sparky pink, sparkly silver, kinda whitish, lime green, baby blue.

and what i think is the best mascara is cover girl exact eye lights, its the new that you get for you certain color of eyes, and makes the pop out, make the look bigger and sparkl and it really works. just about any mascara buy Cover Girl works good. !

    good look. !

silvery colours would look really pretty on your colour eyes...

use mascara with the two ends-the thickening brush and the white- you can get them in pharmacies and chemists etc. they make your eyelashes look really long and curly like magic!

shade darker around the eye sockets and lighter on the eyelid.

    its all like art really!
    any neutral brown

    with dark brown eyeliner

    alsp some ight purple

    or shimmery grey or blue

    dark black mascara

and thats really all a girl needs is eye makeup!

What are some good eyeshadow colors for blue eyes?

what are some SUBTLE colors that would work well?

i have very fair skin and dark blue eyes (not teal blue, BLUE blue :D)

    what are some good colors?

thanks!!What are some good eyeshadow colors for blue eyes?
i always love purple ieye shadow on blue eyed girls...thats pretty, and if you find a silver thats pretty tooWhat are some good eyeshadow colors for blue eyes?
i have fair skin and dark blue eyes, too and i think that shades of browns go very well

if you are going for subtle then do a light brown nude kind of color maybe with a little bit of goldish shimmer to top it off!

    also grays look good
    pink %26amp; brown
I have dark blue eyes but I have olive skin. I would try browns, pinks, silver, gold, copper, creams, never greens though, they tend to make mine look more green than blue. Personally I either use a pale gold or a medium brown on my lid and cream on my brow bone. Hope that helps.
Rose would work very well, in my opinion.

Just avoid the blue shadow popularized by Elizabeth Taylor. Thankfully THAT Is now out of fashion!
    pink

    light green

    brown

    lavender

    mostly every color

you can even mix colors together and that looks cute

    : ))
    gray
The best eyeshadow colors to make blue eyes stand out are always dark colors.

Dark smoky browns are the best.

But grays and blacks work very nicely also.

But since you're looking for subtle, just any cool shade would work well with blue eyes. (Cool shades being blues and purples and silvers - those types of colors.)
probably some white and/ or gray......light colors
The colors that work well are light orange and a peach color.
    Orangey-brown

    How do you wear eyeshadow?

My friend gave me a really pretty Emani Minerals Java, Java eyeshadow, and I wasn't sure how to wear it...actually, I'm not really a make up expert, so i don't know how to wear any eyeshadow, but i really want to wear this one. Help? How do you wear eyeshadow?
This make up screams ';Smokey Eyes.'; I love this look. I wear it all the time. Here's how to do it....just remember blending the colors is key, other wise you will look like you have 3 different colored stripes on your eye lid. I see this a lot and it's not pretty.lol

Get a brush and apply a medium shade onto the lid, from your eyelashes to your crease. Then, get another brush and put a light shade (close to white is good) and sweep it under your eyebrow. If you have a darker shade (not too dark though) put it into the crease to define it.
I put a lighter color over the entire lid. Then I put a darker color on the outer corner and under the lower lid. Then I use a darker color in the crease. The blend it all together, if you do it right it will look great. Practice it untill you get it right. Good luck
Using a eye shadow brush, put some on your eyelids. Then with another lighter color, brush that onto your browbones.
Go on YouTube, and find what you're looking for. That will help a lot.
