What color of eyeshadow should i use to go with my prom dress?? help its only 3 weeks away!!?

ok so i have a purple and black dress...its a kinda dark purple underneath black sparkly lace...and i like have no idea what color eyeshadow i should were lol so plzzz help me out :D %26lt;3What color of eyeshadow should i use to go with my prom dress?? help its only 3 weeks away!!?
The first rule of prom make-up is to not match our make-up to your dress... INSTEAD match your make up to the STYLE of your dress.. You're saying that your dress is purple with a black lace overlay and that screams one thing SEXY!!! Lol...





So given that into consideration I'd completely and totally go with a smokey eye!! You could possibly do a complete BLACK

Or you could go with a dark grey on the entire lid and a light grey in the crease blending upwards to a vanilla highlight under the brow... with a pair of wispie falsies... if you choose to go with the fakes that night...What color of eyeshadow should i use to go with my prom dress?? help its only 3 weeks away!!?
It depends on the look you are going for. If you wanna go with the i'm intense don't mess with me look then i'd go for smokey eyes some sort of charcoals, dark browns, and even black. if you go to the mall one of the makeup counters will give you a free makeover before your prom. bring the dress in and they will even match it for you! if you wanna go for the i'm chill whatever happens happens look then i'd do a natural look. light browns, peaches, etc. Good luck!
Dark, dramatic colors. BLACKS! BROWNS! Just no purple. This isn't a Madonna Concert, honey.





The smokey eye thing would look great. Oh, and if you wanna get your make-up REALLY good but dont wanna pay a lot, go to the mall and ask them to do your make-up. Just say your ';testing it out'; and wanna see how it looks. Works EVERY time!

don't ever match your eyeshadow to your dress color. it doesn't look good. try something basic like a smokey eye or something that makes your eye color pop.

maybe use purple eye shadow with some kind of maybe sparkle to it like maybe put like silver sparkly eyeshadow on the top of it or above your eye lids right below your eyebrow?
Some nice grays with sparkly purple highlights should work perfect!
do smokey eye :) like instense with dark grey and white. !! ask anyone at the mac counter. they can make you look GORGEOUS!

do something simple. like everyone else said a smokey eye, or just soften your eye liner.
