My hair is also very dary, as well as my eyes. I usually stick to natural and earthy tones. You should try to pick a eye shadow combo that has at least 3 or 4 colors.

If you get your cosmetics from department stores, MAC carries a lot of colors to choose from.

I also like to buy Max Factor. Sometimes, if you check sales papers you can find good buys on Max Factor cosmetics. Check your chain Pharmacies, like Walgreens, CVS or Eckerds.

I would go to a makeup counter/store (like sephora) and ask them to help. But usually, to stay natural looking, I would stay in the browns. That's what I wear. I use a lot of Clinique, with black eyeliner (very thin, or for a thicker line, dark brown is better). I wouldn't make it too dark, just a few shades darker than your skin, and a highlighter near your eyebrow,

But those ladies (and sometimes men) are very helpful at making your particular eye makeup looking nice. They're good at telling you the technique, and they're pretty good at picking out colors too. You may just want to go out into the light before buying just to make sure it looks good in any light.

But the one tip that toally comes from me is to use Urban Decay eyeshadow primer potion--it works wonders; just a little and pat in, then apply eyeshadow!!!

I think even the people at the drugstore counter have to know a little about the products too, if you don't want to spend much at Sephora.

Hope this helps!!!
