I have pale-ish skin, light brown hair and eyes. Which shades should I try?

You lucky girl!!! You can wear any color with your complexion, hair and eyes. The only thing to watch out for is using shadow that is too dark or deep in color. So for daytime, a very light peachy cream color over the entire lid would come first.





Then apply a medium cocoa brown under the brow bone (it's about midway between the brow and the lashes). Start with a light touch (slightly in from where your lashes start on the nose side of the lid) and increase the color as you blend it towards the outside of the eyes.





Then continue that cocoa color down to the lashes but only on the outside 1/3 of the lid. Be sure it is all blended well. If you like, you can use a small angle brush and blend a small fuzzy line of the cocoa shadow just under the lower lashes but stop short of going all the way to the inner corner of the eye.





This is a great natural daytime look!! ; )





btw--for evening or dressy occasions, you can use a medium plum, green, or navy color instead of the cocoa.What's a good everyday eyeshadow color for brunettes?
PURPLE!! try to use purple as much as possible. For example when doing a smokey eye use a very deep purple instead of black, also instead of using black eyeliner, line the top and bottom lashes with purple eyeliner (or eyeshadow applied with an angled brush) you can mix it up by using lighter/brighter shades of purple, but be sure to always put mascara on after applying eye makeup, it gives you a more polished, finished and natural look(even if your using bright sparkly purple eyeshadow)


A good dark purple eyeshadow is called ';Nocturnell'; and it is made by M.A.C. Cosmetics.


One final tip, purple is the most flattering colour for brunettes, whether its on the eyes or clothing.
Eyeshadow color is mostly about eye color and skintone, not hair color.





Depending on your skin's undertones, brown eyes look really good with pink eyeshadows and browns.





To decipher what your skin undertone is, look at the inside of your wrist. Do you see mostly blue veins or green-ish veins? If blue, then you are what we call ';cool'; toned, if green then you have a ';warm'; tone. Can't decide? Get a cool toned and a warm toned shadow. See which one looks best.





The palette idea is a good one, Sephora sells a nice palette you could start with (in the Sephora line, about 20 bucks). However, if you wanna spend a little less, check out the Almay eyeshadow quad that's specifically for brown eyes. It's got a pink, light brown and dark brown, and they always look amazing on brown eyes!





It sounds like you have great coloring, and you can really play with lots of other colors too, if you want to go a little more glam and a little less natural. Play around with a gold shadow, it'll add a little more playfulness to the eye area. Revlon sells a pretty gold eyeliner that I think runs about 5-6 dollars!

Which is, lol, purple, like he describes above, however, it also has brown, and a light beige, for different parts of your lid. It has instructions.
Im a brunette with hazel light eyes and I normally wear silver or white...:)


Other colours which I find go really well with my hair and eye colour is a ';smokey black/grey';..especially if you're going out in the evening or somewhere we you can dress up all fancy :)


Pinks, blues, yellows etc... thats a no go!.. well you could go there but I dont think it goes well - Not on me anyway haha

Go with earth tones, they will work with your hair and eye color.


Bright colors like pinks, oranges, etc. Will not look as good on your skin tone because they are light which make your skin look even lighter.

I'm telling you, try Bourjois! You can get it online check out the trio eyeshadow les brunes. I use it everyday! And the waterproof mascara is to die for!
get a eye shadow pallete of different colors of brown then start with a dark brown color and get lighter and lighter as u get up your eye lid mascara and eyeline add a nice touch too
i have the same color hair and eyes and i love brown and green the brown looks more natural but then the green makes your eyes stand out more

wear some dark yellow, or dark green eyeshadow. you could also wear some dark blue. wear white sparkly shadow for parties and special occasions
I have brown eyes too and I use...pinks, golds, greens, purples (are the best), and white, sometimes silver and maroon and other deep reds
GOLD! it is not too dark but not too light either. it will work well with your skin tone too :)
i use a pink base w/black, and sometimes champagne base w/a sparkly brown...never matte

A champagne color would look gra8 with ur desciption!! thats what i use!! i recommend macs eyeshadow in shroom!
rose pink anything light b/c ur eyes are dark and the contrast with look gawgeous
