I have hazel eyes, With light brown hair that is cut short and spiked. I have a olive skin tone and I usually wear black liquid liner.

Something that contrasts with your eyes, to make them stand out. I would stay away from liquid liner, it can look really fake and cakey. Forest green or brown would be good if you just want it for color. If you want to make your eyes pop I suggest lilac/violet/etc.Which eyeshadow colour would be best?

I would use any shade of purple. Purple goes with any eye color. For darker eyes such as brown you would probably use a lighter shade of purple for a nice contrast, but if you have like blue eyes or hazel, use a darker shade. The idea is to always use shades that will contrast but at the same time make your eyes pop.
You need something like Golden Sand, something like a tanned olive skin. that will make ur eyes look brighter and clearer.
try a deep purple or a nice tangerine orange
gold, bronze, maybe green or pink..

Shades of violet are neutral yet very flattering and complement brown eyes really well.
Dark skin needs special attention to unify skin tone, downplay overly prominent features and focus on the upper third of the face. The structure of facial features and the evenness of skin color are important in order to create a great look. Always avoid oil based products to make your makeup last longer since black skin has a tendency to reject makeup.


The eyes can be accented with dark browns, prunes, copper and burgundies. Avoid light, powdery colors and iridescent color that covers the whole eyelid. A light brushing of loose, translucent powder over the lid will give a subtle glow for evening glamour. Use inky black mascara.

Dark purple and blue colors look good on dark skin colors. Dark metallic colors also look good. Use eyeliner and black mascara in the end.


Avoid white or light color eye-shadow.

It is used on the bridges of the nose, around the eye area, above the cheek bones and upper lip for dark skin people.

Dark colors...dark metallic colors...purples, blues, silver..maybe even gold or bronze...you could pull these colors off good...because of your dark skin.

I think it is best to accentuate your beauty with natural looking make up. Do tones that will bring out your eyes. I use browns. It goes with every outfit, and you do not have to buy alot of makeup.
With a shirt that colorful, you should go with a neutral face of browns or taupes. Avoid very glittery looks, and try to go with a natural face. Don't coordinate eyeshadow to clothing, that just ends up looking juvenile. Always wear shades most flattering to your face. use a neutral palette for day, and more dramatic shades like roses and blue-greys for evenings. If you have dark skin, go with deep browns and roses. use a little muted gold if you like along the brow bone for highlighting, or for kicks.
ur eyeshadow doesnt have to match ur shirt. in fact, it is what makes us look childish. use a more subtle color that plays up ur eyes and makes ur face look great and you feel confidant. eyliner is good too, especially when paired properly to bring out your eye color. blue eyes= brown eyleliner; brown= blue; green= plum. try not to 'blend' ur eyes into your face with matching eyecolor but dont use colors that are too bright and contrasting (unless u are going for the eyes-popping-out look)

i know this is pretty much completly against what everyone says about make up but i think more is better. I wear alot of eyeliner on top and bottom. I have smaller dark brown eyes so i wear it on my top and bottom outside lashline and put white eyeliner pencil on the inside which brightens it up. personally i think girls that wear more makeup stand out and dont look like plain looking boys such as other girls. i tend to wear darker eyeshadows like dark brown dark grey or black(darker eyeshadows are more striking and fierce). Wearing alot of makeup will get you noticed. People say well once a guy sees you without all that makeup on then he'll think your ugly. I say that if a guy only cares about your looks then theres a big problem there because looks fade anyways. plus your relationship should be based of more then that. Hope i helped:)!
purples are great for brown eyes and navy blue eyeliner is also a great color.





look at brown on a color wheel and look at the color that is directly opposite of it.....that'll be the color with the most contrast and therefore will make it POP more.
use a black or brown eyeliner first. for eyeshadow, use browns, tans, light and dark purples, and golds. almay has an eyeshadow pallette made especially for brown eyes
I also have brown eyes and when I want my eyes to stand out I use purple (purple gives you a sexy look), silver, navy, gold, teal, blue all these colors look amazing on brown eyes. I don't recommend brown because it will cancel out your eyes. Know for eyeliner insread of black I use dark gray, navy blue, plum and white.
I love dark purple eyeliner and green eyeliner... if you have brown eyes stay away from blue eyeliner though.


Gold eyeliner and eyeshadow always works with brown eyes as well.


Purples, golds, green and pink eyeshadows look great! Brown and neutral (beige, tan) eyeshadows look good as well.

Experiment with different shades of bronze, gold, brown, chestnut, champaign, coral, etc. Earthy tones are going to look best on you. Green can be used with a lot of practice, in addition to the browns.

Also take advantage of makeup displays in department stores to smudge the sample eyeshadows near your eyes. Never use samples of any eye make up on your actual eyelid though, the bacteria and germs can cause major infections. Instead, take baby wipes with you, and use the sample to smudge the color under your eye (on your upper cheek) to get an idea if the eyeshadow color compliments your eyes and skin tone, then remove the smudge with your baby wipe. :)
