How much product is in the $14.40 MAC eyeshadow versus the $11.00 MAC palette shadow?

I know the regular MAC eyeshadow costs around 15 bucks and the one that's 11 is the one you place in the palette, but what's the difference in amount of product in the eyeshadow? I thought the black packaging held more product but I recently saw a video and the girl had almost finished hers and it's only near the surface and not deep with product like I thought.How much product is in the $14.40 MAC eyeshadow versus the $11.00 MAC palette shadow?
There is no difference in size or the amount of product you receive.


When you buy the mac eyeshadow you are also paying for the container.


Thats why it costs more than the mac palette shadow.

personally, i prefer pans! i feel the color is better, since it is a PRO product. i never really run out of product, so back to mac doesn't really matter to me.

I suggest you go for metallic or dusky shades
Try blue. Blue is a very common eyeshadow color. Blues are all about being noticed, not natural. But blue doesn't necessarily go great with every ones eye color. blue goes best with brown eyes because they are so opposite that brown eyes will pop.


Consider silver/gray. Silver/gray brings on heavy metals and drama. Silver/gray are usually used as evening shades. It looks great with blue or brown eyes.


Put on brown. Brown or bronze gives off a great natural glow when worn properly. It looks best with dark brown eyes and hazel or light brown eyes depending on the shade of brown.


Be careful with green. Green is a color that was inspired by nature. One of springs best colors, it looks wonderful with Light brown or blue eyes. It can also be very easy to overdo and make you appear like the wicked witch of the East! Be careful and sparing in adding it.


Add some purple. This was the spring of 07's signature color but it looks great in any season when done well. It looks awesome with brown or green eyes.











Try all different shades of your color to find what looks best with your eyes!


Don't use so much color that it looks so unnatural that people will want to avoid you because you are wearing so much make-up.


Don't match your eye color to your eyeshadow. Matching your eye color to your shadow will ';drown out'; your eye color.

i prefer green on my brown eyes, but the pros would reccomend purple. i like really flashy green liquid eyeliner (not a lot) just along my lash edge with black mascara.

Well..Theres a palette out called wales the colors are BEAUTIFUL, I think they have a few different palettes to fit all of the colors like bright or neautral but they come with alot of colors and work pretty well....Similiar to MAC but not as good color payoff...but the next best thing! The colors do come out great...I've seen girls using it on youtube doing makeup tutorials....and since ur in the UK Im sure you can find it on EBAY.

I wear every colour. And nothing really surprises me with the colours I use.


I know which colours work the most at bringing out the blue in my eyes, and I know how to work with every colour to work for my face, skin, personality, eyes, etc.


So.. I wear pinks, blues, purples, oranges, reds (I haven't in a while since I no longer have a red eyeshadow), greens, yellows, neutrals (like browns, blacks, metalics), pretty much anything, and work with many combinations.
i use 4 differant colors on my eyes, and get compliments all the time...i use a smokey gray on the lid, then i use a slight darker color of gray in the crease, on the very top, i use a shimmery light gray , and touch up the corners with a shimmery black.
covergirls's quad eye shadow called 'crystal waters' really brings out the green in my hazel eyes. i never thought it would since the colors are all blue's %26amp; greens

I know that brown looks good on everyone, but it actually made my green/hazel eyes look blue:O And then there's peppermint green. It really works for me!:)

Something that contrasts with your eyes, to make them stand out. I would stay away from liquid liner, it can look really fake and cakey. I would use any shade of purple. Purple goes with any eye color. For darker eyes such as brown you would probably use a lighter shade of purple for a nice contrast, but if you have like blue eyes or hazel, use a darker shade. The idea is to always use shades that will contrast but at the same time make your eyes pop.
You need something like Golden Sand, something like a tanned olive skin. that will make ur eyes look brighter and clearer.
try a deep purple or a nice tangerine orange
gold, bronze, maybe green or pink..

Shades of violet are neutral yet very flattering and complement brown eyes really well.
Dark skin needs special attention to unify skin tone, downplay overly prominent features and focus on the upper third of the face. The structure of facial features and the evenness of skin color are important in order to create a great look. Always avoid oil based products to make your makeup last longer since black skin has a tendency to reject makeup.


The eyes can be accented with dark browns, prunes, copper and burgundies. Avoid light, powdery colors and iridescent color that covers the whole eyelid. A light brushing of loose, translucent powder over the lid will give a subtle glow for evening glamour. Use inky black mascara.


Eye-make up:





Dark purple and blue colors look good on dark skin colors. Dark metallic colors also look good. Use eyeliner and black mascara in the end.


Avoid white or light color eye-shadow.


Highlighter:





It is used on the bridges of the nose, around the eye area, above the cheek bones and upper lip for dark skin people.

I think it is best to accentuate your beauty with natural looking make up. Do tones that will bring out your eyes. I use browns. It goes with every outfit, and you do not have to buy alot of makeup.
With a shirt that colorful, you should go with a neutral face of browns or taupes. Avoid very glittery looks, and try to go with a natural face. Don't coordinate eyeshadow to clothing, that just ends up looking juvenile. Always wear shades most flattering to your face. use a neutral palette for day, and more dramatic shades like roses and blue-greys for evenings. If you have dark skin, go with deep browns and roses. use a little muted gold if you like along the brow bone for highlighting, or for kicks.
ur eyeshadow doesnt have to match ur shirt. in fact, it is what makes us look childish. use a more subtle color that plays up ur eyes and makes ur face look great and you feel confidant. eyliner is good too, especially when paired properly to bring out your eye color. blue eyes= brown eyleliner; brown= blue; green= plum. try not to 'blend' ur eyes into your face with matching eyecolor but dont use colors that are too bright and contrasting (unless u are going for the eyes-popping-out look)
