Pinks and light purple. What are some good colors of eyeshadow to make blue eyes stand out?
I use pink and green to make my blue eyes stand out. If you wear glasses it helps a lot to get contacts. My mom has green eyes and she uses blue shadow and liner, and her eyes stand out amazingly!!What are some good colors of eyeshadow to make blue eyes stand out?
grays and pinks
grey and green
Golden, its like yellow but looks more elegant. You could also use brown but gold is better.
For blue eyes, sandy golds, shimmery browns, and matte medium browns look really good. If you want your eyes to REALLY stand out, a lot of companies have produced eye makeup specifically for certain eye colors to make them pop, you can probably find them at Target.
grey and gold
Different pinks and greens
Almay has a line of makeup just for Blue Eyes. They also have one for Hazels, Browns, Greens, etc. For the blues they have eyeshadow, liner, mascara. It works great to make the color pop.
Maroon and rust
I know that Silver, Blue,Pink, Rose, Purple, Green is nice colors that suites blue eyes if you use them the right way.
My best advice is that you could try diffrent colors and how to have it on your eyes. You will learn yourself and that is a good thing.
Try it, and Good Luck!
I have blues eyes with fair skin... This is what I use to make mine stand out. Pinks/Cranberry, Browns, Coppers, Purples, Dark Blue, Gray. I can't wear green, but if its blue based I can.
RED. It really, really makes blue eyes look blue!
Violet's %26amp; Purples
A bronzy brown will make them really syand out

Can bronze powder be used as eyeshadow too?
or would it look weird? Can bronze powder be used as eyeshadow too?
it doesn't look bad. i do it all the time.
it just depends on what color bronzer you use and what color skin tone you have.
if you're fair, don't use anything too dark.
if you're dark, don't use anything too light.
if you're in the middle you can pretty use any color and look fine. Can bronze powder be used as eyeshadow too?
Yes! Believe it or not, but its made out of the same stuff as eyeshadow. Don't be afraid to do it, i'm sure we've all had our moments.
Yes I think it would look good if you did it lighly and maybe blended some other light browns with it.
UR WEIRD!

Has anyone used Revlon Color Stay Eyeshadow? Does the cream Wet and Wild One stay on longer?
ColorStay eyeshadows are great, especially the new mineral ones - love them. Never use the cream W n W one sorry.Has anyone used Revlon Color Stay Eyeshadow? Does the cream Wet and Wild One stay on longer?
I don't think the cream ones stay longer becasue it doesn't ever really dry. I really like the Color Stay products. I always use their eyeliner too b/c its waterproof.Has anyone used Revlon Color Stay Eyeshadow? Does the cream Wet and Wild One stay on longer?
Powder eyeshadows work better and last longer. Creme ones tend to crese laster.pink hair

Eyeshadow colors for my eye color?
Hi. I have light brown hair and dark blue-green eyes (more DK blue than green) and have slightly tanned skin. What color eye shadow and lipstick should I wear that matches my eyes, skin tone, and hair color?Eyeshadow colors for my eye color?
I have blue eyes and I wear Almay eyeshadow that is for blue eyes. They have the two different types...my favorite is one that has a copper color for the lid, chocolate brown for the crease, and shiny tan for the brow bone. It really makes your eyes pop. I am really pale so I am not good with colors for lipstick, but I know that your eyes would look amazing with this eyeshadow. I get compliments on it all the time.Eyeshadow colors for my eye color?
For eye shadow, light purples and greens will probably work well for you. If you are just getting started with make-up and playing with colors, you may wants to check out Almay's products. They have some color compacts designed especially to go with certain eye colors.
if you want to play up your eye color then go for a blue eyeshadow but if you want it to look more natural go for a brownish eyeshadow.

Is the Coastal Scents 88 eyeshadow palette good?
I think I'm definately going to buy both, the shimmer and the matte ones.
Are most of the colours like dupes of MAC eyeshadows?
I read somewhere that the powder doesnt stay on your eye and just goes all over your face but otherwise all reviews are good.
Is there anywherre I can get them cheaper, cos I live in the UK and shipping is so expensive... thank you xIs the Coastal Scents 88 eyeshadow palette good?
Yeah they base all their eyeshadows off the MAC eyeshadows. I love it and I use it everyday. If I use a color alot then I just get the closest color from MAC. That way I buy eyeshadows that I know I'll use. Yeah the only ptoblem I have with it, is especially if your doing double colors like a dark shade on the edge of your eye, the eyeshadow gets on the side of your face. But put tape there and you can not only get a perfect line but also you can easily get the access eyeshadow off. Oh and the whole their made in china thing, yeah I think what people dont realize is the majority of your products are made in china. This is just the tip of the ice berg, also coastal scents doesnt hide the fact that it is actually not their product just a distributor. As long as your not planning on eating the eyeshadows, I think your safe from getting sick.Is the Coastal Scents 88 eyeshadow palette good?
I know this isn't an answer, but enquiring minds wanna know.
I've heard good things about this brand, but can it really be that decent being that cheap?
are the ingredients any good/bad for eyes/skin?
would mineral eye makeup be a better idea?
:)
No it is crap! Their stuff is made in China and imported. You could probably find another company there that sells the same thing because China will sell anything to anyone that can buy in large quantities. I would RUN from this and any makeup made in China!
It's amazing!
I have the shimmer one and it's really pigmented!
You're going to want a primer under it. I suggest Urban Decay Primer Potion.
You can usually get it cheaper on Ebay because they're shipped directly from China.
: )
they're really good! i have the smaller versions!
First as a professional makeup artist for over 20 years it is cheap crap made in China not worth the pennies truly. Secondly they are getting tons of horrible comments see some of these I found from upset youtubers and gurus:
**************************************鈥?br>
I found hundreds of horrible reviews on MSN beauty boards and yahoo about coastal scents having horrible customer service and selling their mail order list they violate their privacy agreement all the time and so much more. Also any cosmetics MADE IN CHINA are very bad for your health they are high in lead content and cause high cases of cancer. I would NOT BUY THIS BRAND AT ALL!!!!!
WARNING!

Coastal Scents doesn't make these. They don't even make their palettes. They get them from a seller in Hong Kong and resell them for a lot more. That's why you can find them a LOT cheaper on ebay.Besides, Coastal Scents has a very bad rep with some of their customers, like EricaLeigh777 and MakeupSquare. They were really rude to them, and that's why I'll never purchase from them.Pinkiecharm also won't purchase because they violated their privacy contract with one of her friends.
**************************************鈥?br>
I don't care how cheap knowing they are made in CHINA I won't touch it with a ten foot pole. Make from china is known to have high lead and very bad for your health so NO THANKS!
**************************************鈥?br>
Everyone is raving about their products and how they're so cheap and pigmented.
However, no one realizes that these products are made in China, contain a high amount of lead, and the people behind this company are downright rude.
Those people are just taking their customers' hard earned money.
It's one thing if they overcharge the public for a quality product, but for one that poses a huge health risk?
It's honestly disgusting.
WARNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that is the tip of the iceburg its really bad I would not touch this brand AT ALL!

I don't see why anyone would need that amount of eyeshadow but it's your choice. if you have your heart set on a humungus palette don't get one from argos because they are lame, i had one once and i threw it out because the eyeshadow wouldn't stay and you could hardly see it. How do u keep your eyeshadow looking fresh like u just put it on all day? mine always gets like oily and...?
it all will move to a crease in my eye and its just not pretty anymore by the end of the day...any tips on how to stop that? How do u keep your eyeshadow looking fresh like u just put it on all day? mine always gets like oily and...?
There are different techniques that you can try:
1) Apply an eye makeup primer. These can be found at department store counters, sephora, etc. You apply these on and around your eye lid before doing your regular routine to create a barrier surface between your skin and your makeup. THis is important because the primer gives something for your eye makeup to stick to, whereas before, your eye makeup was simply reacting with the oil in your pores, letting it slip and slide around, causing it to smudge and rub off.
2) Another alternative to an eye makeup primer, is applying an oil-free foundation instead. Then set the foundation with a oil-absorbing face powder. Then apply your eye makeup.
3) Lastly, you can try waterproof and smudgeproof formulas. Maybelline has an eye liner (Unstoppable eyeliner) that is smudgeproof, and Revlon has their own ColorStay liner. These work better than your average pencil liners and stick. As for eyeshadows, go for powdered formulas, rather than the gel and creme shadows. The pigments adhere better to the skin than the gel formulas.
*****If your makeup does end up smudging however, q-tips can be great for cleaning up any extra residue around the eyes, giving a more refreshed and cleaned up look.
hope this helpesHow do u keep your eyeshadow looking fresh like u just put it on all day? mine always gets like oily and...?
I use this great product from Benefit (one of my favorite lines) call FY Eye. It's a primer and you barely use any and it keeps your shadow fresh all day.
try Mary Kay's eye primer. It's a product that is waterproof that you rub on your eyelid prior to applying the eye shadow. The product contains the oil from your eyelid from coming into contact with your eye shadow. It's a GREAT product!!! Plus it's 100% guaranteed so if it doesn't work for you, you can just return it for a full refund.
Actually, if you put powder on your lids (I find pressed works best) this will set the eye shadow as well as absorb some of the oil. This has always worked well for me.
(not baby powder, I mean the make-up).
put on eyeshadow base before you put on your shadow .. urban decay makes a really good one .. ill put up a link .. you can also buy it at ulta
You apply foundation to your eyelid before applying eyeshadow.
ohh that. put on a lil concealer on ur eyelids b4 putting on eyeshadow =D
that would keep it on longer
There are a few products that you can use. MAC has a few different types of products that you can use under your eyeshadow. You can try the MAC PAINTS, or there fluidline pots. You can use it as an eyeliner or as a primer and your eyeshadow will stay on ALL DAY. It will make your eyeshadow look very vivid. Just make sure to match the colors properly.
put on a base before your eyeshadow and it shouldnt go anywhere..
There are eyeshadow bases availale at the drugstore to solve your problem. The shadow will last until you take it off. Foundation just makes your eyes more oily than they already are naturally.pink hair

What's a great pink eyeshadow color?
I have brown eyes and pale olive skin. Looking for a pink shadow that won't wash me out and will actually show up...
Suggestions? What's a great pink eyeshadow color?
I use Nars Orgasm blush on my eyes. I just apply it with an sponge-tip eyeshadow applicator. The blush is fantastic. It's sort of a peachy/pink with flecks of orange. It's beautiful. It compliments any skin tone and will look really pretty with your brown eyes. What's a great pink eyeshadow color?
If you can get it, Mac's ';Nuetral pink'; eyeshadow is the best pink i've ever used. It is quite a smokey, dark, almost mauve pink but its absolutely gorgeous. It came out with the N collection a while back but you can still get it on e-bay and stuff. It is really good for creating a day time smokey eye (cus although its a darker colour, its not as harsh as a black or purple). You can also lighten it up with golds and champagnes for a beautiful arabic style eye. Really, really recommend this eyeshadow 100%. (actually now I think about it, its kind of a more pinky terracotta colour).
the color of the eyeshadow doesnt actually matter as long as you put the right amount on. so just pick out any pink shadow that you like, and apply the amount that you like. if its a dark shade of pink, apply a little. if its a lighter shade, apply a little more.

and I think that eyeshadows used as eyeliners are sooo much better than pencil eyeliners anyway.
I personally LOVE the MAC flat definer brush #212 $21
All you have to do is wet the brush, swipe it across the eyeshadow color you want several times and apply it. it's as simple as that.Is it possible to use eyeshadow on the bottom waterline (as an eyeliner)?
It might be, but I think it would come off easily.
If you want to try take an eyeshadow brush and cover it with ur eyeshadow. Then take a spray bottle filled with water and slightly damp the eyeshadow.
If anything tht should work the best
Yes you can use shadow as an eyeliner just turn the applicator on it's edge. The stores sell colored eyeliners.
id use the end of an eye shadow applicator (the spongey applicator)
use an eyeliner brush sephora carries some good ones
Yes.
But you would have to re-apply it frequently.

I have a question about eyeshadow primers?
so ive watched some youtube vids and ive seen many people prime there lids with MACS paint pot in painterly. and when i went to check it out on the website it looks like its just a regualr eyeshadow paint pot. so why do people use it to prime? also if it is a primer then could you prime your lids with other paint pot colors that match your real eyesahdow?
thank you.I have a question about eyeshadow primers?
You can use the MAC Paint Pots for either color or as a base. Its light and creamy and gives powder eyeshadows something to grab on to. A lot of people use Painterly because its similar to their skintone and doesn't change the color of the eyeshadows.
You can use different paint pots to add depth and dimension to your looks. I like to use Blackground on my darker/smokey eye looks, Constructivist on deeper brown neutral eyes, Bare Study to add some shimmer to lighter looks...the list goes on.
Hope that helps :)I have a question about eyeshadow primers?
People use MAC's Paint Pot in Painterly to prime because their eyeshadow looks better if they use eyeshadow primer before applying eyeshadow than if they don't. You could prime your lids with other paint pot colors that match the eyeshadow that you're using. MAC's Fluidline is a cream eyeliner that provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish.
I hope I helped! [:
That's because Pant pots can be used as BASE for eyeshaow!!!!!! that's why they use it. I have one and my next one I want to get is paniterly and rubensque. Urban Decay Primer Potion is good too.
Mac Fulide Line is a cream liner!!!! and it lines your eyes, that's WHAT IT DOES!!!!!!!!

How do I put this eyeshadow on?
http://www.almay.com/Pg/Main/CatProdDet.鈥?/a>
Everytime I put it one it looks weird, they tell you how to put it on in the back of the eyeshadow, but I need more advice.
Also what color eyeliner would look good with it?Would blue? How do I put this eyeshadow on?
use the lightest color as a base and apply it all over your eye all the way to your eyebrows. Then use the medium tone on the lid right under the crease and last use the darker color on the outer part of your eyes and blend really well. good luckHow do I put this eyeshadow on?
You put them on in the order they are in in the case. You will need a make up brush for the middle color.
I always say to stick with black eyeliner... makes your eyes POP!
If you want some serious color and help with it check out MAC, that is what I use and it is the best ... you will never buy grocery store makeup again!
okay so you didnt really say what shade but the lightest color which looks like is always the first one goes under your brow thats just to birghten and open up your eyes..so put that one on like half way down. then would come the 2nd lightest shade that is darker than the first one you put on put that one on your eye lid only. and lastly would be the darkest shade and that goes on your crease i suggest you use a eyeshadow brush the ones that look like small blush brushes but that are for your eyes. the way you should put that one on is you take your brush and start off by applying a small amount first to find your crease touch your eyes and see where your line forms form when you open and close your eyes.. start by putting some in the outer corner inward towards the inner of the eye applying some more until you are happy with how dark the shade is. hopw this helps! because i could probably show you better than i can tell you. :]]
btw. it helps if when u put the dark one have your eyes open and try ';dabbing'; it in your crease then close it and keep repeating.
Hey im part of the community for makeup on youtube.
check out this vid on how to apply this.

Ok, first of all apply the lightest shade right in the middle of your eye. (Or the ball of the eye.) Make sure to pack it on, so even after a few darker shades, it should survive.
Second, apply the middle shade all over your lid, trying not to pack as much shadow as before.
Third, go in with the darkest shadow, just right on your crease. Try to stay in the outer corner, and then using a blending brush blend it to your inner corner. Touch up with the lightest again, packing it in the middle.
A deep plum or violet eyeliner would look best with this, but you can also try an aquamarine or metallic blue.

Recovering tomboy lost in the eyeshadow aisle!?
Like the title implies, I have never really worn much makeup, but am experimenting with some subtle use. I have gotten pretty comfortable with all other tools, except eyeshadow.
Do I choose it to compliment what I am wearing or to match?
What color(s) would compliment my eyes (brown)?
Which is first to consider when applying, eye or outfit?
As a bio major, I am usually pretty comfortable with multiple, interdependent variables, but this is uncharted territory for me and any advice/opinions is appreciated.Recovering tomboy lost in the eyeshadow aisle!?
Eyeshadow is a great way to enhance your eyes and can be used in a subtle or striking way, depending on where you are going. I usually use eyeshadow to compliment my outfit, as having it match exactly can sometimes look a little too rigid. For example, light blue eyeshadow compliments a green or darker blue outfit. I also have brown eyes, and I'm often told by make-up experts that brown eyes are the best shade to have, as most colours suit brown. To begin with I'd buy a few basic shades, such as grey, brown, creme and a light gold. Once you feel more confident with using eyeshadow, you can start to become creative with your shades, with colours such as blue, green and purple. I'd always match my eyeshadow to my outfit, never the other way round. If you have a basic palette of colours, you should find that you have a shade of eyeshadow to match every single outfit you own. Good luck and have fun experimenting!Recovering tomboy lost in the eyeshadow aisle!?
Brown eyes are the best for makeup, you can wear just about any color and it looks fantastic. you should start by buying basic colors though. Brown, grey, white, toupe. my favorite colors for brown eyes are hot pink and blue. i match my eyeshadow to whatever i'm wearing. for a very simple thing to do just put a color on the bottom part of the lid and a white on the upper part.
Go for colours which match your outfit :]
I think that brown eyes look quite nice with green but wear everything! Experiment!
Try using different colours at the same time.
There's loadsof videos on youtube
just search 'makeup tutorials' on there.
If you are looking for a brand inparticular try Barry M its really nice
i have brown eyes, and i wear greens, purples, and alot of times i choose my color based on what i wear.
pinks are usually good too! earth tones, i've realized, look best on my eyes.
i think a light pink would look pretty cute with brown eyes.

Can you tell me the best A-Z method to wear eyeshadow?
For dark colored eyes what are the good shades?
For light colored eyes what are the good shades?
thanks a million in advance. Can you tell me the best A-Z method to wear eyeshadow?
Honestly its not about dark or light eyes. Its about day or night makeup. If you want to wear eye shadow in the day, then use light hues. Like soft, peach, baby blue, light green, pink, light golden. But they shud have shine to it. And for night you can really mess with the eyes shadows. i will give you an idea to look real hot a sizzling. Try this.
Apply some vaseline as base. Apply any color eye shadow which you like. Dip the tip of the brush in your hair gel, next dip it in loose glitter powder (not soft powder which u can apply to your cheeks). I am saying, loose strong glitter which will really shine. And apply it on the eyes shadow. Keep your eyes closed for a while until it dries out. apply an eye liner and extend the line bit more than u usually do. on your base apply same eye shadow near the inner as well as outer corner of your eyes. dont make it too loud, keep it light. now use a ligther eye shadow with glitter under your brows, blend it with the eye shadow u have on. But keep a thin line between both the colors. Apply mascara and then see the effect. You will surely make the guys go crazy. And also remember, apply some concealer on the eyes before applying eye shadow, cuz that evens out the look and color. If you have done loud eye makeup then dont use dark cheek color or blush. Use bronze or peach on your cheek. Use pink or peach lip gloss. Send me your pic if u do this kinda makeup if possible. Can you tell me the best A-Z method to wear eyeshadow?
The best generic advice to make your eyes stand out is to wear the opposite color. Like if you have green eyes wear purple shadow. Almay makes some trios based on specific eye colors, I recommend starting out with those.
Well just go by the eye colour, for dark eyes wear dark eyeshadow to really enhersise sexy dark eyes. Eva longoria, jennifer ellison, Shakira and Tina OBrien all have dark brown eyes and make them stand out with smoky make-up

For blue or green eyes use more natural colours for a pretty look, as blue eyes will look scary with dark makeup.
celebs such as Jennifer Aniston, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen and not forgettin the gorgeous Megan Fox all know how 2 show off there pretty blue/green eyes.

i love those brushes, but it just helps the color go on cleaner.
its just works better than regular ones.

What colour of cream eyeshadow should i put on with a white dress?
pink or light purpleWhat colour of cream eyeshadow should i put on with a white dress?
Try light colours like a peachy or baby pink but dont go darker than that...
http://www.ellegirl.nl/2006/08/EG9Premie鈥?/a>
or try white and use it as a highlighter like aishwarya rai here:
http://www.poster.net/rai-aishwarya/rai-鈥?/a>What colour of cream eyeshadow should i put on with a white dress?
i say none. jus b natural that luks more beautiful than using any cream.
depends on what color your eyes are. if they're a darker color, put a shimmery white/ivory on the inside corner of your eyes and fade it halfway to the middle of your eyelid [and by the way, do this only on the lower crease of your eyelid] then take a darker color, black is nice or dark blue or brown or whatever sets your eyes off and rub that on the outside corner of your eyes and fade it into the middle and smudge it with the lighter color. it will create a really cool effect on your eyes. for lighter eyes, do the same things lighter with whatever enhances your eyes. below your eyebrows and stuff, just brush a really light, natural cover to smooth out your skin and stuff. hope it works!!
Ivory
I'd wear something that's complimentary to your eye color. For example, if you have brown eyes, wear a shade of blue that you like on the lid, and blend it toward the brow with a nice neutral natural color. (Blue sets off brown eyes beautifully!)
if you are wearing sliver, pearl, white beads jewelry go with a silvery pale pastel color. if you wearing it with black, gold or red go with natural tones.
I'll put maybe a light blue or pink...but something really light!
white
you should use a very soft, pale pink for the full lid then using white make a thin line (width of eyeshadow brush) just below the eyebrow. be sure to apply creating an arch. More arch means more sexy most often.
then using a darker color but not too much on the lower lid nearest your lashes, again you want to make a small line (not the whole lid and not a perfect straight line if that makes sense) and in the outer crease adding depth. If you have brown eyes a blue or green and if you have blue or green eyes try a shade brown
pastel colours or natural are probably the best......hope I help!
pink, beige, steel grey/silver( with a hint of black on the corners of the eye) ...anything shimmery but dont overdo it
~Nothing too light, nothing too dark.~
Be natural!
